Carbonara Toast
First up is carbonara toast. Sound strange but in fact, it’s quite familiar if you know that this recipe is actually mixing up the traditional carbonara with crunchy, crispy bread instead of with pasta.
Ingredients
- 20 grams of pancetta
- 5 tbsp of cream
- 1 slice bread
- 1 chicken egg
- 1 tbsp of shredded cheese
- 1 tsp of mayonnaise
- Black pepper
- Chopped parsley
- Olive oil
How-to
Begin with cutting off the crusts of the slice bread. Paste mayonnaise around its four edges and then, place crusts on its top.
In a small mixing bowl, add heavy milk, cheese, black pepper and blend them up. Wrapped it with food wrapper and toss in a preheated microwave in 20 seconds in 600W.
Now, pour the mixture into the center of the slice bread, add one egg, pancetta and then, toast in 5 minutes before serving.
It’s best to eat with some salads and olive oil drizzle and some chopped parley or thyme due to personal preference.
Cheesesteak Egg Roll
Next is my favorite cheesesteak egg roll which is not only quick to prepare and cook, but also delicious. The following formula is for 8 servings:
Ingredients
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 8 ounces of smoked gouda, finely shredded
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 5 pounds of ribeye
- 1 tsp of black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of kosher salt
- 1 small yellow onion (sliced thinly)
- Canola oil
How-to
Sliced thinly the ribeye. My tip to get finer cut on meat is tossing them in a freezer for about 1 hour before cutting. It’s amazingly efficient!
Heat up a fine amount of olive oil in a pan, add chopped onions, sautee in 5 or 6 minutes or until they are softer and turn into a light yellow with nice fragrance. Then, add the chopped ribeye and sautee in 5 minutes or until their color change into a light pink. During the cooking process, remember to use a spatula to toss them evenly.
Then, add some salt, pepper, smoked gouda and keep tossing until the gouda melted down and everything is blended thoroughly. Remove the pan from heat.
Place an egg role wrapper in a flat clean surface, you can take advantage of a cutting board or use a wide plate due to preference. Add a reasonable amount of ribeye on, fold two sides, paste some beaten egg on the egg roll wrapper, then roll it up.
Pay attention to the force on your hands. It should be not too powerful, but not too weak to make the roll firm and beautiful without tearing apart.
Now, preheat oil to 360F, add these egg rolls into the pan. Remember to pour enough oil to soak the entire rolls. Fry 3-4 minutes or until they turn into a yellow brown color. Pick them out and place in parchment paper. Serve hot.
Cheesy Milt and Miso Gratin
Ingredients
- 300 grams of milt
- 100 grams of yamaimo (grated)
- 80 grams of cream
- 50 grams of shredded cheese
- 20 grams of miso
- Salt
- Chopped parsley
How-to
Transfer all milt into a strainer, pour boiled water through it, drain and place in a bowl. Use a scissor to cut them into itty bitty pieces. Then, transfer them into a pan and let aside.
Now, add miso and cream into another bowl, use a fork to mix it out thoroughly. Then, add mountain yam. One more mix. When the whole mixture is tighter and a bit sticky, pour it into the milt. Add some cheese and bake in 200C in 20 minutes.
The cheese now is melted down and top on the cake. Pick it out, sprinkle with chopped parsley and ready to serve.
Creamy Ham and Cheese Torte
I’m quite sure that this tasty creamy ham and cheese torte will be a perfect morning to deliver enough energy to you for a whole working day. Or, you can make a smaller dish for your brunch.
Ingredients
4 chicken eggs
2.5 cups of milk
2 cups of mozzarella cheese
2 cups of diced ham
1.5 cups of white flour
1 tbsp of baking powder
1 cup of vegetable oil
1 tsp of salt
1 cup of grated parmesan
1 cup of peeled, cooked and cubed potatoes

How-to
In a blender, add eggs, milk, oil, potatoes, salt and baking soda, blitz until it’s smooth and then, pour in a large mixing bowl, add white flour and whisk evenly. Pour half the mixture into a nonstick baking dish (or with the ordinary one, you can grease and flour it).
Now, add ham, mozzarella, oregano on. Next, pour the rest of the mixture on the baking dish, sprinkle some parmesan and bake in 350F in 40 minutes.
Ground Beef & Au Gratin Casserole
Ingredients
- 5 ounces of sliced mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups of white sauce
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 cups of cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup of black olives
- 25 bunch of parsley, finely chopped
How-to
In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef, garlic powder, chopped red onion, parsley, olive oil, salt and pepper, use your hand to mix them up.
Spread the mixture onto a baking dish, paste evenly and press gently. Top with black olives, mozzarella, white sauce, cherry tomatoes, oregano and chopped parsley. Bake in 350F in 45 minutes and ready to serve.
Mozzarella-Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Chicken
Ingredients
- 8 strips of bacon
- 1 boneless chicken breast
- 5 cup of mozzarella cheese, grated
- 25 cup of cream cheese
- Black pepper
- Salt
How-to
Place all bacon strips on a round cheese board in groups of two to form them in a cross shape.
With boneless chicken breast, slice it into thin pieces and top on the bacon strips. Add salt, pepper, cream cheese, mozzarella on the chicken breast. Fold the bacon strips and bake it in 350F in 45 minutes.
Cut in halves and serve hot.
Sweet Corn Lasagna Rolls
This is a more complicated dish but I assure you it’s worth trying. Besides, the preparation time is just around 25 minutes while cooking time is 33 minutes. It’s perfect for a weekend night with a little bit showy your talented cooking skill to your family.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of cream cheese in room temperature
- 3 cups of warmed whole milk
- 3 cups of frozen thawed corn kernels
- 3 tbsp of all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp of unsalted butter
- 2tsp of kosher salt
- 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup of parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cups of frozen defrosted spinack
- 1 pound of lasagna sheets
- 1 tap of ground black pepper
- 1 can of drained roasted diced chilies
- 5 tsp of freshly ground nutmeg
- 5 tsp of kosher salt, (for berchamel cheese sance)
- 5 cup of gruyere cheese, shredded
- 5 cup of heavy cream in room temperature
- 25 cup of parmesan cheese
How-to
Melt down butter, add salt and flour and whisk evenly. Next, add whole milk, parmesan, nutmeg and one more whisk.
In a food processor, add heavy cream, cream cheese and grind it up in a few seconds. Pause and add mozzarella, gruyere, salt, pepper, spinach and diced chilies, one more grind.
Now, place the lasagna sheet in a square cutting board, paste the mixture on (pay attention to add a reasonable amount) and roll it up. Then, place it aside in a buttered 13×9 baking dish. Drizzle the remain sauce on the rolls, sprinkle with Parmesan and mozzarella. Wrap them entirely and closely with a aluminum foil, bake in 375F in 30 minutes. Serve hot.
Tomato and Basil Torte
Ingredients
- 5 tbsp of water
- 4 tbsp of sugar
- 5 cups of mozzarella cheese, grated
- 5 cups of cherry tomatoes
- 2 cups of white flour
- 1 cup of softened cream cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- 5 cup of cold butter
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Leaves of 1 bunch of basil, torn
How-to
In a mixing bowl, add egg yolk, sugar and water, whisk it evenly and set aside.
In another mixing bowl, add flour, salt, butter and use your hands to toss it thoroughly. Make a hole in the middle of the flour mixture, pour the egg yolk mixture into it and mix it well. Wrap it by food wrapper and place in the fridge in 2 hours. Sprinkle flour in a flat clean surface, paste the batter evenly and transfer it into a huge rounded baking pan, roll the edge. Use a fork and make tiny holes in the center of the dough and bake in 350F in 30 minutes.
After that, sprinkle with cherry tomatoes, salt and ready to serve.
