1. Vitamix 5200 Blender, Black
From the appearance alone, the blender has a industrial-feeling and a robust, durable look that seem to endure abuse and intensive using for a long period of time. And it actually can. It will stand up to being used 4 to 5 times a day for years. This is a powerful blender that runs at 1380 watts and has a 2 horsepower motor. Because of such power, it’s reasonable that the blender can be rather loud, which is definitely something to take into consideration before making your decision. Still, you will find all the ruckus being overweight by its amazing and versatile capabilities.
The lid of the blender is designed to hold firmly in place and can’t be taken on and off easily as other blenders. This can actually be a good thing, as the tightly-sealed lid can prevent occasions of the blended ingredients flying all over your kitchen. The package also includes an ingeniously-made tamper to help you blend the ingredients nicely in the middle of the blending process.
Another important feature is the built-in cooling fan, which prevents the unit from burning out especially when making hot soup. It also means you don’t have to pause in between every smoothies to give the blender some rest so as to not damage the machine.
The best thing about this blender is how nicely the machine blends everything you throw in it. No matter how soft, hard or fibrous, this machine can produce the best tasting smoothies with no chunks or strings. Once you have tasted your homemade drink, you will have no desires for any smoothies sold outside.
What’s more, the versatility of the blender is one of the main reasons for its popularity. You’re making hot soup for one minute and the next you’re preparing frozen cocktails. From nut butters and milk, to sauces and sorbets, this blender can do it all. This model is also considered one of the best Vitamix for juicing!
Want to know more about the best blenders for juicing? Take a look at this review.
It’s worth noticing that what the Vitamix juicer does is actually whole-food juicing, which means blending all the food together without ejecting any pulps. If you want a finer texture juice, simply strain it through a sieve or filtration bag. This will be much more economical compared to buying a whole new juicer.
If you’re looking a Vitamix juicer extraction, here’s it is.
The Vitamix 5200 offers up to 10 speed options, which can be rather complex for those new to the world of blenders. So my advice would be to read or watch instructions and videos to truly understand how to operate this machine. Rest assured because this process won’t take up much of your time.
Another setback is the fixed blades which makes scraping all the leftover out to clean a bit tricky. I would like to recommend this product for regular family usage. This Vitamix 5200 is more than just a blender and will prove itself to be indispensable for years to come.
2. Vitamix 5300 Blender, Black (Certified Refurbished)
It’s easy to be confused between the 2 Vitamix models 5200 and 5300 since they share many similar features. Both comes with a variable speed control and rotatable dial for a better control. Plus, the 2 models include a 64 oz container which makes it perfect for a family setting. What makes the 5300 vitamix commercial blender different from the other is the high-performance motor power at 2.2 HP. This blender will be able to tackle from the hardest of ingredients. Even better is that despite such power, the machine manages to work much more quietly than others with the same motor capability.
The second difference lies in the low profile container which is opposite to the much taller containers from other Vitamix models. This means you can store the machine more easily in the kitchen cupboard or the counter top and still get the same capacity like other Vitamix blenders.
The 5300 model also includes a “pulse” switch which allows you to adjust the speed and setting to properly and effectively process your ingredients. whether you’re making a healthy vegetable soup or crushing some nuts, the new feature gives you more flexibility in choosing a suitable blending mode.
You might be wondering what “Refurbished” actually is. When you see the term “Certified refurbished” from Vitamix, it means that product is as still good as new. The reason for returning could be something as trivial as a change of mind from the customer. After receiving the returned item, Vitamix will restore it to their high standards and Amazon will resell it.
Buying the refurbished item would save you a considerable amount of money compared to the original one sold on Vitamix website, and still guarantee you the almost similar look, quality as the 100% new product.
There’s hardly any complaints regarding the performance of the Vitamix blender 5300. Although the price of this blender is rather on the expensive side, this machine can actually be the best value you can find.
3. Vitamix Professional Series 200 Blender, Black
With a 2HP motor, this Vitamix Pro 200 is capable of blending almost any fruits and vegetables to a nice and smooth texture. The blender can puree everything from the skin, core to the seeds, and you won’t be able to taste any chunks or slithers in your drinks. This will also be a great way to add more green to your children’s diet since they won’t recognize the presence of any veggies in their smoothie.Since the machine blends everything so well, it actually makes cleaning up much easier. While many blenders where there tends to be clumps or dry stains on the side, this doesn’t with the Vitamix blender pro 200. It only requires some simple rinsing or you can pour some soapy water inside and runs the machine for 30 seconds. Works like a dream!
The Vitamix juicer pro 200 shares some similar features to many Vitamix models such as the 10 blade settings for easy control. What’s more, this is a versatile blender that is especially good at making hot soup. It only takes about 6 minutes to turn raw ingredients into hot soup or about 3 minutes for pre-cooked ones.
The Vitamix 5200 and Pro 200 series both come with a 64 ounce containers, but the later has an additional dry grain container for making flour and preparing dough. Plus, you can replace the 64 oz container with a smaller 32 or 48 oz one for a dry blending.
The only problem that some users face is some occasional leakings, but this issue can be easily and quickly fixed by contacting the seller for a replacement.
4. Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender, Black
This Vitamix Pro Series 750 is among the and most feature-heavy and best-performing of Vitamix products. The motor base of the Vitamix 750 has a stainless steel housing instead of a usual plastic. And the container is quite similar to the Vitamix 5300 – a low-profile wet container, making it more convenient for storing. The wider base also helps the food to get picked up more easily compared to the tall, narrow one.
The blender operates with a 2.2HP motor compared to the 2HP of the Pro 200 Series. This means this machine can process large, sometimes whole pieces of ingredients, saving you prepping time and effort.
There are 5 programmes for various purposes: frozen, smoothie, soup, puree and clean. One prominent feature of this model that was not present in previous Vitamix blenders is the pre programme settings. Save yourself the guesswork and simply select the setting you need, flick the switch then walk away. The blender will do the work all by itself.
Something to take note of is that you might be better off making large batches each time with this blender. Since the blades sit rather high off the bottom of the container, they tend to spin above the product, so you will have to stop midway and scrape the sides and the product will not be as smooth. What’s more, the price, which is rather high compared to other Vitamix models, can be a put off to some people.
All things aside, this is undoubtedly an excellent performer in the kitchen and will be a life savior for professionals who value consistency in their output everyday.
5. Vitamix Standard Programs Blender, Platinum (Certified Refurbished)
The refurbished vitamix blender, also known as the Vitamix 6300 model, is one of the latest creations of the brand under the C-Series line.Just like with the refurbished Vitamix 5300, this 6300 model has the same look and quality as a brand new. The only measurable difference between them is probably the warranty which is 5 years instead of 7. Rest assured, though, because you can add an extended warranty within 30 days of purchase for an extra amount of money if you wish.
The 6300 model has a retro, classic look of an older Vitamix blender that gives off a timeless feel. Meanwhile, the Vitamix pro 750 offers a more modern design, so it just boils down to your vitamix personal blender.
Another difference between the 2 is the pre-programme settings, with the 6300 model having only 3 compared to the 5 modes of the Pro 750. The 3 blending modes include smoothies, frozen desserts and soups. Although you can make the same dishes without this feature, using it still adds a level of convenience and can offer more consistency.
When comparing the Vitamix pro 6300 and the 5200 model, the main difference lies in the pre program as well as the pulse settings, which is present only in the 6300 blender. Another minor change is that the on/off switch in the 5200 model has changed into a power button.
Here’s a few tips to extend the lifespan of your blender. After using for a while, the container might get cloudy if you let it air dry. My advice is to use a dry cloth to wipe it dry after every use to avoid this problem. Also, for smoothies, always add some ice since the blender generates much heat which might destroy the nutrients in the fruits. This also helps your smoothie taste much better.
Unfortunately, the 6300 shares the same issue with the Vitamix pro 750, which is the appearance of black specs inside the drinks. Should you encounter this problem, feel free to contact customer service to quickly receive their support.
In short, this is a nice looking, high quality, easy to use and clean blender. If you value the added features such as the pulse, the 3 programme settings, don’t hesitate to buy this Vitamix juicer 6300.
6. Vitamix E310 Explorian Blender, Black
The Vitamix E310 is the first in the Explorian Series launched by Vitamix in October 2017.This blender is not exactly on the cheap side, but it’s the best blender you can get for such a price, especially when it has all the features of its predecessor – the 5200 model. Both have a 2 HP motor, variable speed option and great versatility such as making smoothies, hot soups, nut butters or baby food.
However, the E310 has a pulse switch instead of the high-variable one found on the 5200. But the best change probably lies in the design of the container. The 48oz container is ideal for one to 2 people with a small kitchen since it can fit more easily on the kitchen cabinet.
This feature has successfully addressed one problem of the famous Vitamix juicer 5200. The smaller size also makes cleaning a bit easier even when there’s already a self-cleaning feature.
Compared with the previously reviewed Standard Programs Blender, the E310 has pretty similar features except for the shorter height and is a little bit more expensive. Still, since the Standard Programs was introduced 10 years before the other and often sold out, the E310 is more readily available with a longer model life ahead.
Noise seems to be the biggest drawback to the blender especially when it’s operating at the highest settings. However, the Vitamix E310 will be perfect for people who buy high-performance blenders for the first time or someone looking for a blender for themselves and another friend.
7. Vitamix Two Speed Blender, Black (Certified Refurbished)
For people who don’t really have the need for a complex, function-heavy blender but can still serve all their needs, then this Vitamix Turboblend Two Speed would be my pick. The biggest difference you can see from other blenders reviewed above is the lack of a variable speed setting, which might be considered a luxury rather than a need by some. Instead, the Vitamix Turboblend Two Speed is equipped with a high/low speed setting with the high reaching up to 240 miles per hour.
This machine is arguably one of the easiest to control compared to its cousins. Besides the high/low setting, there’s only an on/off switch. It is as simple as that! Plus, there’s a cord holder underneath to keep the wires in place, which is a nice bonus. However, some users would prefer an additional pulse button to tackle the hard and stubborn ingredients.
Despite having less features, rest assured that the two speed version can meet all of your demands as with other, more sophisticated Vitamix blenders. This item uses the same motor, blade design and container and allows you to make anything from butter, soup to grinding coffee.
However, the poweful motor along with the container‘s design might act against the machine, since there have been instances where the liquid inside splashes all over due to the powerful spins.
But if you find such an issue can be overlooked by its many other benefits, then this is without a doubt an affordable and efficient blender.
8. Vitamix Ascent A2500 Blender, Slate
Coming from the Vitamix Ascent Series which include 4 blenders, this A2500 is the true definition of “saving the best for last”.This new model still keeps the basic features of the previous ones – a variable speed dial, a pulse switch and a 64oz container. In addtion, there are 3 convenient pre program settings for making smoothies, hot soups and frozen desserts. The A2500 also features a poweful motor which is 2.2 peak horsepower. Needless to say how well and smoothy this machine can process all of your ingredients.
All models on the Ascent Series owns a high-end, stylish look with sleek edges and curves. The brushed steel accent surely adds a classy touch and excess cord can be hidden out of sight underneath the unit.
Now, onto the new and improved innovations that is included in this blender. First and foremost is the container, which has received noticeable and smart improvements. The low profile 64oz pitcher allows you to blend either small amounts or a full load of fruits, veggies and other dishes. Plus, the container is marked clearly by millimeter, ounce which comes at handy.
Another smart adjustment is the transparent lid to monitor the blending process without having to remove the lid. The lid plug also acts as a measuring cup which is a nice and handy bonus.
What’s more, there’s a digital timer counting up to show how long you’ve been blending. When you run one of the 3 program settings, the timer counts down and the machine automatically stops blending when the program is complete.
The Vitamix juicer A2500 is equipped with a “Self-detect” technology that can recognize which container is used on the machine and adjust the program settings and maximum blending time accordingly. The blender will not operate if the container is not properly placed onto the base and will disable certain programs depending the size of the container. For example, the machine will not allow for the hot soup program on anything other than the 64oz container.
My verdict? This A2500, despite being on the expensive side, might actually be the best value of money for you. It has everything you need in a blender and will perform well with consistency. Should there be any problems, the 10-year warranty will be a nice reassurance.
9. Vitamix e320 explorian blender
Vitamix always knows how to cater for different people with various needs, and this Vitamix E320 Explorian Blender is one typical example.
The first and most noticeable feature of this blender is the change in the container, which has a wider base and a capacity of 64 oz. The low profile pitcher not only allows the blender to fit more easily under the kitchen cabinet, but also makes blending more effectively. Plus, it’s also easier to scrape everything out compared to a higher, thinner container.
One the other hand, however, this pitcher does require more ingredients than a conventional 64oz one, about 3-4 cups of ingredients for a successful blend. Acknowledging that, Vitamix also offers smaller containers if you only wish to produce small quantities each time.
The same Vitamix legendary power that I know and love is kept at 2.2HP. In other words, this blender is capable of blending all ingredients into a creamy and smooth consistency without leaving any large chunks. I have used this blender for frozen treats, batters, smoothies and shakes, all of which are beautifully processed.
The blender was a bit too noisy at first, but the motor broke in after a week of use and the noise seemed to have gotten better. One more issue with this machine is that the base is rather lightweight while the motor is too powerful. As the result, the blender will shake a little, especially when you increase the speed above 5.
All things being said, the Explorian is apparently a more convenient everyday company. If you’re on the fence about this blender, I would definitely say give it a try.
10. Vitamix 7500 Blender, Professional-Grade, 64 oz. Low-Profile Container
If you’re having your eyes on the Vitamix Pro Series 750, this Vitamix 7500 Blender can be a great 2nd choice at a lower price.
Like with many of its predecessors, this 7500 blender has a 2.2HP motor with a top speed of 240mph, a low profile 64 oz jug, and a tamper to allow for processing thick ingredients. In terms of its features, the 750 and 7500 are virtually identical in that both have a variable speed control and pulse setting.
However, this model doesn’t include the 5 pre-programmed settings as with the 750 blender. If you don’t see yourself using this feature too often, the 7500 might actually a more economical option.
One prominent advantage that gives the 7500 an edge over other Vitamix blenders, especially the 750 model, is its exceptional quietness, given the amount of power it has. This is mostly due to the built-in noise and vibration dampening, which is claimed to reduce the noise level by 40%. Another perk to this blender is that it’s easy to clean since there are no annoying little corners in the jug where leftovers can hide.
When it comes to the blending performance, this 7500 does not disappoint, producing the finest smoothies, nut butter and hot soups. The machine is particularly loved for its green smoothies thanks to its ability to properly blend leafy greens and leave no chunks in your drink, something that many blenders out there struggle to do.
Several customers did mention the presence of tiny black flecks in the food made on their first uses. The company, however, have assured that those flecks are harmless and will immediately replace it with a new jug. Another issue, which bears some similarities with the Explorian mentioned earlier, is the difficulty of making a small amount of stuff with such a large container.
You can rely on this Vitamix 7500 blender to perform its duty, and the 7-year warranty further confirm its good value of money. I’m pretty confident of recommending this blender to you.
11. Vitamix S30 Personal Blender, Black
Acknowledging the trend of the mix-and-go blenders, Vitamix doesn’t overlook the opportunity. Hence, the Vitamix S30 Personal Blender.
At first look, this blender is definitely a feast for the eyes with its solid construction, elegant curves and a glossy finish. And when I say solid, I’m talking about a hefty weight of 12 pounds and 15.7 inches in height.
The blender operates at a 790 watt motor, which is powerful enough to make silky smoothies, frozen fruits, pesto and nut butter with the help of the included tamper, while ice seems to be out of its league. The S30 tries to keep its control to a minimum, with a simple dial of 10 variable speeds and a pulse setting.
Built mostly for busy commuters’ individual use, the S30 offers a 20 oz portable container in addition to its standard 40 oz jug for blending smaller batches. The container also comes with a flip-top lid to transform the vessel into a healthy drink on the go. There’s a lid-locking mechanism that seals the lid tightly with a snap as well as a large u-shaped loop for attaching the container to your bags.
Some people found that the liquid tends to leak onto the blade threads, so I would highly recommend washing the machine immediately after use to avoid the dried food from gumming the blender up.
This model would be the most ideal for those living alone or want to carry their smoothies with them on the go. Take the time to experiment with the amount of liquid to add into the blender and follow the instructions provided and you’re good to go!
12. Vitamix A3500 Ascent Series Smart Blender, Programmable w/Built-in Wireless Connectivity, Professional-Grade, Graphite
This Vitamix 3500 is named “The mother of all Vitamix blenders” for having almost everything one could wish for in a blender.
Everything about this model screams premium, from its solid build, heavy weight to the handsome stainless steel finish. The highlight of this blender is no other than the LED display which communicates informations about the speed, elapsed time or pre-set programmes.
Speaking of pre-set programmes, this machine offers the most settings with 5 modes, including smoothies, hot soups, dip and spreads, frozen desserts and self cleaning as well as a variable speed dial to adjust the velocity of the blades. Others of the blender’s controls are flat, touch-sensitive keys, namely for pulse, start/stop, and automatic blending time.
With all of the features above, it’s safe to say that you can make anything you want with this Vitamix A3500 blender. Indeed, the machine produces smoothies, pesto, pancake batter with a breeze, and transforms hard ice cubes into a powdery texture in a matter of seconds. These impressive results are mainly thanks to the powerful motor and the effective variable speeds.
When it comes to cleaning, the pre-set cleaning mode does remove large debris, but to get the jug spotlessly clean will require further scrubbing by hands, which is made easier thanks to the wide base. Plus, the pitcher is dishwasher safe so you can simply toss it in on lazy days.
The biggest reasons why some are wary when it comes to purchasing this blender is seemingly its price, which is not exactly on the cheap side. In case the price is a bit overwhelming to you, the Vitamix 750 Pro is a near perfect substitution. However, if you’re a die-hard fan of blender machines, this A3500 might become your treasure for years to come.
13. Vitamix Professional Series 500 Blender, Black
The 500 Vitamix Blender has been highly regarded by many of its customers for its trustworthiness. The blender comes with a powerful 2 peak horsepower motor and a laser cut blades from stainless steel to successfully process your ingredients effortlessly.
There’s a 64oz BPA-free container as well as a tamper to help make blending easier and quicker. What’s more, the removable plug in the lid that makes it easy to add ingredients the collar on the temper helps you push the food away from the sides without having to turn off the machine.
I particularly enjoy drinking green smoothies from this model, as the 500 seems to do such a good job, unlike a majority of blenders out there which slice up the leaves into fine slithers. You can now add kale and other tough leafy greens into my smoothies without fear of choking down lumpy chunks.
Besides making smoothies, the machine’s versatility is definitely impressive, being able to process purees, nut milks, butters, sauces, soups. Cleaning is a breeze as well with a drop of detergent and some water.
It’s hard to find any drawbacks to this blender other than its rather high price. After using the machine for some time, however, I find it worths every penny spent. And I truly hope you will feel the same.
Having to decide which among the many Vitamix juicers to invest a large sum of money in is no mean feat. I hope that the review above can help you navigate your way through with more ease and give you a satisfying blender of your need.
A fearful competitor of the Vitamix brand is the Breville. Both are equipped with a temper and a 7-year warranty. However, the Breville has a slightly larger container and provides more control functions. You can set the blending time and pause the pre-program setting if you wish and there’s also a detailed LCD screen. Plus, the price seems to be quite less compared to the Vitamix, which is a factor worth considering for some.
It all boils down to personal preferences and purposes when it comes to deciding which has the upper hand. If you’re interested in finding out more, take a look at my review on Breville blenders.
